BMW Velocity Measurement System: An Example of Technology we use at the US Olympic Committee

BMW is a corporate sponsor of the US Olympic Committee.  Instead of just supporting us financially they also wanted to help technically.  We had a meeting with them and decided that we needed a technology that could measure the running and take-off velocity of a long jump.  So they developed a system for us.  We are now using it at the training center in Chula Vista.  Here is an article about it on the ESPN website.

This is an update on a post I made in October 2011.
